Signs

Signs are divine synchronicities.

The concept of synchronicity, in its spiritual understanding, was introduced by the Swiss psychologist Carl Jung. It expresses two events that occur at the same time, without any cause-and-effect relationship between them. When someone finds meaning in such an occurrence, the event becomes a sign.

The understanding of synchronicities depends on the state of mind of the person who experiences them. They are considered either as coincidences and chance, or as a sign from the Universe and the spirit world.

When we accept signs as divine synchronicities…as interventions even, what can they be, how can we interpret them and how can we truly believe in them?

Signs from the Universe

The Universe sends us signs of a general nature. Everybody has experienced one of the following examples at least once in their lifetime:

  • The phone rings as we were thinking of the person who is calling
  • A song is being played on the radio as we were thinking of that tune
  • We hear a word on the radio or television as we pronounce or write it
  • A phone or a computer indicates double time such as 11:11 or 12:21 as we look at them

All these coincidences are signs intended for us.

Signs from Spirits

By the word Spirit, I designate the energy of the people we have loved who have left their physical dimension when they died. As we are soul, spiritual energy before we are in our human body, I am convinced that those who have left us are always here and around us, invisible to our physical senses but perceived by our energy.

These spiritual beings send us signs every day.

These signs have the particularity to be very personal and to give meaning to us.

We can identify the signs in many ways. Here are three different ways:

  1. We have agreed on a sign with our relatives or friends before their death
  2. We affirm a sign of recognition after their death
  3. The recurrence of an event or experience becomes a sign of recognition

Here are some examples:

In the first case, we agree with our relatives on a specific object to be their sign. For example, an element of nature like a flower, animal, bird…or connections to these like a feather or rose. It is always good to choose an animal, thing or object that already has meaning for us. And it is better not to choose emotions or memories, unless they are connected to a specific physical thing or event.

In the second case, if no sign has been agreed prior to the death of our loved ones, you and family members can decide yourselves on a sign and ask the spirit world to confirm this agreement by making it “appear” whenever relevant.
A personal example: my mother had painted a clown resembling my father. After his death, we decided that the clown would be his sign. I subsequently had several experiences confirming that my father used this sign to communicate with me.

In the third case, it is the recurrence of an event that indicates the sign to us.
For example, a client noticed a bird flying in her room as she was mentioning her deceased son. As this synchronicity occurred again, it became the sign for her son. Another client experienced several times a white feather falling gently in front of her as she was thinking of her recently deceased mother. The white feather became the sign of her mother’s presence.

I have noticed that elements of nature such as birds, animals or feathers often serve as signs.

How can we accept without doubt that these coincidences are signs and not just random occurrence?

We need to make a conscious decision to accept signs as signs. We are Cartesian beings who often have difficulty accepting the presence of the invisible or the fact that these coincidences can be more than chance. When we take the decision to accept such signs as spiritual and divine intervention, we will see them more and more often.

Signs are confirmation that, even if we do not feel the presence of the Universe or of our deceased loved ones, we are connected to our spirituality and our divinity.

It is an affirmation to persevere on our path, to have confidence in ourselves, to know that everything will be all right and that we are not alone.

It is also the Universe training us to recognize spiritual energy, the Source from which we come from, as well as our intuition – the voice of our soul.

I encourage you to welcome and accept these signs in your daily life; they will bring you serenity, joy and confidence.
